The matches consist of 5 stages usually with 5 steel targets. Each stage is shot for time 5 times, with the slowest time dropped. There are centerfire and rimfire categories, and pistols may use fixed sights or electronic optic sighting systems. You may also use a Rimfire Rifle or a Pistol Caliber Carbine at Steel Challenge.
