MCRC believes that all responsible gun owners need to maintain a reasonable level of proficiency in firearm safety and gun handling. To help gun owners, MCRC has Instructor Members that can teach various classes, such as basic Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun, to CWP qualification, and at times more advanced courses such as Home Firearm Safety and Personal Protection in The Home, among others. Classes may be held at the range or elsewhere. Instructors who teach at MCRC are required to be certified through the National Rifle Association in Basic Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun according to which class they will be teaching and Must be NRA Certified Range Safety Officers. To teach CWP, Instructors must be certified through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. ALL instructors that train at MCRC are required to carry appropriate insurance.
