Our local NCOWS posse, the South Carolina Old West Shootists (SCOWS), recently held its regularly scheduled “2nd Sunday” Monthly Match for March on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the Cooper Pistol Bays at the Mid-Carolina Rifle Club (MCRC). We had a total of eleven (11) Shooters, including 2 new shooters, 1 Lady Shooter, 1 Junior and 1 Young Lady Junior. Weather was lovely and fun was had by all.
There was one (1) clean shooter for the match – Congratulations to SGT. Henry on a match well shot. And congratulations to all, welcome to all our new shootists, and thanks to everyone for a great match.

Next Match
The scheduled date for the “2nd Sunday” Match in May falls on Mother’s Day, and, after discussions amongst the posse, it has been determined that there won’t be enough shooters available to hold this match. So, it has been determined to postpone this match until Sunday, May 31, 2026. Details to follow.
