Our local NCOWS posse, the South Carolina Old West Shootists (SCOWS), recently held its regularly scheduled “2nd Sunday” Monthly Match for July on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in the Cooper Pistol Bays at the Mid-Carolina Rifle Club (MCRC). We had a total of six (6) Shooters who braved the heat to come out to shoot with us, including 1 Lady and 1 new shooter. There was one clean shooter for the match — congrats to SGT. Henry!

Also, this is a reminder that our annual CAPT JEB Forrest Memorial Match is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 29. This year’s match will include a dedication of the two of the Pistol bays we use for our matches to CAPT JEB and to Moonshine, and, as always, a picnic-style luncheon will be served.
