Our local NCOWS posse, the South Carolina Old West Shootists (SCOWS), recently held its regularly scheduled “2nd Sunday” Monthly Match for March on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the Cooper Pistol Bays at the Mid-Carolina Rifle Club (MCRC). We had a total of fourteen (14) Shooters, including 4 new shooters (1 Shootists, 1 BP Shootist, 1 Junior and 1 Lady Junior). Weather was lovely and fun was had by all.
Given the larger than usual crowd and the new shooters who needed to be assisted through the stages, we weren’t able to complete the match before we needed to break down and call it a day, so there are no complete match scores to report, and, technically, there were no clean shooters for the match, although I can report that SGT. Henry was, after 3 complete stages, on his way to a clean match.
