Beginning February 28th Mid Carolina Rifle Club will begin hosting International Benchrest Shooters (IBS) Rimfire matches on the fourth Saturday of the month at the Hathcock Range. Each match will consist of 2 cards of 25 bullseyes at 50 yards and 2 cards of 25 bullseyes at 100 yards for a total round count of 100 for record. It is recommended Competitors bring another 50 -100 rounds for sighters. The matches will open at 8:30 for registration, first shots at 9:00, and should conclude by 11:30 – 12:00. The match fee is $20.00.
As this is a new discipline for MCRC, match director Mark Burns will be holding a free introductory seminar on Saturday February 21st in the large classroom to cover rules, procedures and any other questions about the sport. The seminar will begin at 11:00 and last as long as there are questions to answer, or about 12:30 to 1:00.
